ABNA24; The commander of the Iranian Border Guard Brigadier General Ali Akbar Javidan has warned that any group attempting to violate Iran’s borders will face a decisive response, which will make them regret their actions.
According to a statement by the Law Enforcement Command, Brigadier General Javidan said Iran’s borders remain secure thanks to the vigilance and presence of border guards across the country.
He praised public support and participation, saying Iranians have demonstrated the strength and authority of the Islamic Republic and delivered a firm message to its enemies.
Javidan said border guards are fully deployed along the nation’s frontiers and are carrying out their mission with full authority during the current sensitive circumstances. He added that the border guards are working in close coordination with other armed forces, including the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army, to protect the country’s borders.
He stressed that personnel are stationed at border posts with high morale and full readiness.
Javidan also noted that several attempts by militant and terrorist groups have been thwarted due to the vigilance of border forces, preventing any disruption to border security.
The commander added that cooperation with neighboring countries’ border authorities continues, with 68 border meetings held to facilitate security coordination, travel and economic exchanges.
He also said about 9,000 Iranian Hajj pilgrims have so far returned to the country via the Shalamcheh land border crossing, located on Iran-Iraq border.
